Prestigious Rabbanim Gather to Celebrate Revolutionary Sefer Parnassah K’Halacha

(Courtesy of Jewish Chamber of Commerce) “It is not just a sefer. It is a movement. The sefer should be found in every home and every shul,” remarked prominent posek Rav Feivel Cohen, shlita, mechaber of Sefer Badei Hashulchan, regarding Sefer Parnassah K’Halacha.

Rav Feivel was among the long list of leading rabbanim, roshei yeshiva and poskim who gathered on Motzei Shabbos Parshas Terumah at Khal Shemen L’Mincha in Lakewood for a melave malka to celebrate the publication of the sefer, in both Lashon Kodesh and English editions. Despite the difficulty, Rav Feivel took the pains to personally attend and address the melave malka. He has for years been a staunch supporter of this revolutionary project, which places the most pertinent Hilchos Choshen Mishpat (monetary halacha) within reach of every Jew.

Sefer Parnassah K’Halacha is published by Reb Duvi Honig of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, and is now in sefarim stores across the world. Each halacha is clearly and succinctly explained in terms understandable to every Jew, and practical scenarios are cited for their practical application. No sefer of this sort has ever previously been published. The rabbanim at the melave malka cited the historical nature of this sefer, and how it promises to usher in a new era of awareness and adherence to monetary halacha.

The Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva Rav Malkiel Kotler, shlita, remarked that the sefer fulfills the pasuk of “V’eileh hamishpatim asher tasim lifneihem,” as it places crucial halachos “in front” of all of klal Yisrael.

Other participants at the melave malka included Rav Yaakov Forchheimer, shlita, leading posek; the Skulener Rav of Lakewood; Rav Shaul Simcha Friedman, shlita, Khal Shemen L’Mincha; Rav Shmuel Yosef Bittersfeld, shlita, Khal Bais Nuchem-Brookhill; Rav Ari Marburger, shlita, Bais Din Maysharim; Rav Dovid Grossman, shlita, Bais Havaad L’inyanei Mishpat; Rav Yehoshua Grunwald, shlita, member of Machon Parnassah K’Halacha, and many others.

Various dedications are still available for both the Lashon Kodesh and English editions, and will appear in future prints. For more information, contact [email protected].
