When it comes to technology and innovation, Professional Development is a way of life at the Jewish Educational Center!

Earlier this academic year, JEC faculty participated in peer-led technology training. Each member then applied his/her training to further research and the development of new and innovative ways to capitalize on the school’s many SMARTBoards. As a collaborative community of learners, teachers in all three divisions (Yeshiva of Elizabeth, Bruriah and RTMA), have shared their various findings and innovations with each other, which is another valuable benefit of being a part of an institution of this size and breadth.

On Tuesday, December 30th, the JEC’s Yeshiva of Elizabeth elementary faculty gathered in shifts for a session called “SMARTBoards and Snacks.” An array of intriguing applications impressed participants, who readily embraced the new innovations for use in their respective classrooms.
