The FDU Yeshiva Program’s Sukkot Z’man class in Sports Marketing was taught its director, Professor Ira Jaskoll. Students who study in a yeshiva in Israel or elsewhere were able to take up to six credits in eleven days before, during Chol Hamoed and after Sukkot. This enables yeshiva students to complete their BA degree in one year or after taking 30 credits.

The class visited the Yogi Berra Museum and heard from Dave Kaplan, its director, and Greg Lockard, president of the New Jersey Jackals who play in Yogi Berra Stadium. The final project for the class was to create a marketing plan for the Yogi Berra Museum or for the Jackals’ Jewish Heritage Day. The proposals will be sent to Kaplan and Lockard for review and ranking with the top team winning an award. Additional speakers were Dov Kramer, executive producer of WFAN radio and Daniel Hazan, a frum sports agent.
