Gadi Moses (Gadi Moshe ben Sarah), 80, is one of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz, where he lived for 60 years. Gadi and his partner Efrat Katz were kidnapped from the kibbutz on Oct. 7 along with his ex-wife Margalit, their daughter Doron, and granddaughters Raz, 4, and Aviv, 2. Efrat was killed on the way to Gaza; Margalit, Doron, Raz, and Aviv were released after 49 days in captivity.
Gadi is an agronomist who mentors many of the farmers in the south. He is the father of three children and grandfather of 10. He appeared in an Islamic Jihad video in December. Said his son Oded, “We feel tired, it is increasingly difficult, yet we have no choice but to pull ourselves together. We continue crying out his cry.”
