Naama Levy (Naama bat Ayelet), 20, was beaten and abducted by Hamas terrorists from the IDF Nahal Oz surveillance base on the morning of Oct. 7.
Naama was born in Israel and raised in India. She is a triathlete and an alumna of Hands of Peace, which promotes friendship between Israeli and Palestinian youth. She is also a volunteer for the Red Cross and the U.N.
In a letter written for Naama’s 20th birthday, which she spent in captivity, her mother Dr. Ayelet Levy Shachar, wrote, “Every day without you is a day without air. The uncertainty and dread I experience is suffocating. We will not stop fighting for you until you are home.”
