Omri Miran (Omri ben Veronika Esther), 47, is a Shiatsu therapist and a gardener in Kibbutz Nahal Oz, having moved there 14 years ago from northern Israel with his wife, Lishay. He was abducted on Oct. 7 by Hamas terrorists and driven, in his own car, to Gaza. He appeared in a Hamas video in April, together with hostage Keith Seigel.

Omri and Lishay have two daughters, Roni, 2, and Alma, who was 6 months old when her father was abducted. Omri is said to be a soft-spoken man and a dedicated father. Of his abduction, Lishay said, “I had told Omri minutes before, ‘I love you, I’ll protect our girls, we’re waiting for you, and don’t be a hero.’”
