Ori Danino, 25, HY”D, was taken captive from the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023 by Hamas terrorists. He was murdered along with five other captives in August, 2024 and his body was recovered in September, 2024 from a tunnel in Rafah.

Danino, a master sergeant in the IDF, was from a Charedi family in Ramot, Jerusalem. He lived in Givat Zeev and was engaged to be married at the time of his abduction. During the attack, he and a friend filled their cars with as many people as possible to help them escape, then Ori went back to save others.

Rabbi Elhanan Danino, Ori’s father, thanked God for the ability to bury his son, which he called “a miracle.”
