(Courtesy of Project Ezrah) The first workshop of a three-part series took place on Tuesday, January 30, at the Young Israel of Teaneck. “Professional Resume & Search Strategy Workshop” is geared for the job seeker looking to have an updated, tailored resume that is ready to go when the right opportunity comes along. The attendees were a dynamic sampling of our community from different career tracks and levels of professionals. The goal of the program is to educate and advise professionals about the insider information on resume tips and tricks, how to get noticed, and how to build your personal brand.

A participant in the first session was happy to share, “The workshop helped me understand what I need to convey to an employer and how to tweak what I’ve got. I’ll be back for the next session.”

One of the key parts to the session conveyed the importance of transferable skills.

The second part to the series will also include strategies to conduct a successful job search.
