Project Ezrah to Celebrate its Gala Bar-Mitzvah With Its Neighbors

Englewood– Project Ezrah, the local organization focusing on helping folks with job searches and financial assistance, will celebrate 13 years of “neighbors helping neighbors” at its December 13th dinner. Instead of focusing on honorees, they will commemorate their 13th birthday by celebrating all those who have helped create, support and grow the organization–which has assisted more than 3000 area families.

The dinner will be a platform to celebrate the past and step into the future. There will be a memorial tribute to Project Ezrah’s founder and past Executive Director, Rabbi Yossie Stern, who passed away this past February. The community’s rabbis will be thanked for their guidance and leadership.

The highlight of the dinner will be the recognition of neighbors who have “extended their hand in help.” In order to identify appropriate candidates, invitation response cards request a sign-in acknowledgement of someone for his/her community involvement. Project Ezrah believes that honoring these unsung heroes, who support the organization and the community in myriad ways, will be most meaningful to the organization and to the community it serves.

Looking toward the future, Robert Hoenig, Project Ezrah’s new Executive Director, will be welcomed and introduced.

The dinner will be held at 8:00 pm on Saturday evening, December 13, 2014 at Congregation Keter Torah in Teaneck. Reservations for the dinner are now being accepted at the Project Ezrah office, 201-569-9047.
