Project Ezrah to Host Career Summit for Entire Community

(Courtesy of Project Ezrah) Why help one person at a time when you can help hundreds? Project Ezrah’s Career Summit is doing just that; back for its second year on July 27, the Project Ezrah Career Summit is aimed at bringing job seekers, students and seasoned professionals together so everyone benefits from an intimate and caring network.

Partnering with professionals in the community to bring expertise to each individual in a tailored way, this event is for anyone in the working world who wants to be proactive about enhancing their prospects and learning to promote themselves.

Following a light breakfast and networking, the event will feature a keynote session titled “How Your Search Can Thrive in a New AI World.” The address will be given by Adam Lewis, CEO of Apploi, a highly awarded and recognized workforce platform. There will also be speakers discussing AI tools in a job search. They will share real-life case studies on using AI in job searches and career management.

After the keynote, there will be a variety of useful and engaging workshops and opportunities for participants. During that time, Jeff Mendelson, Project Ezrah director of employment, will share strategies to help guide attendees, including: How can I build my network? How should shifting market trends impact my job-seeking approach? How can I plan for career development while still employed?

During this time participants will have the opportunity to have their resume reviewed by HR experts. Ulrich Photography will be on hand to take professional headshots that can be used in LinkedIn profiles. Prior RSVP and sign up is required for these two sessions.

This year Project Ezrah is introducing a new initiative and bringing professionals from the community to join together for a networking lunch. The light luncheon will allow participants a chance to mingle with business leaders from the community, an opportunity of considerable value. (One never knows where serendipitous can-you-pass-the-salad encounters may lead.)

Since its 2001 launch, the Englewood-based nonprofit has provided a suite of career-related services: finessing resumes, preparing candidates for interviews, offering salary negotiation tips and more. “We help individuals create search strategies that increase their traction in the market and reduce frustration,” said Mendelson. “That empowers people in an often stressful chapter of their lives.”

Register now at ezrah.org for Project Ezrah’s Career Summit on Sunday, July 27, in Teaneck. Doors open at 8:45 a.m.; program begins at 9:30. RSVPs are strongly suggested.
