(Courtesy of Project Ezrah) After a successful inaugural year, The Project Ezrah Young Leadership Council (YLC) is excited to be starting its second year with new programs and initiatives for the entire community.
The YLC second annual summer night out will be on August 9 at Keter Torah, featuring a full gourmet barbecue, mixology bar and a great comic lineup. Tickets go on sale on Motzei Shabbat July 9, and until midnight on July 10, for the discounted price of $70 per person or $125 a couple. After July 10, the price will go back to normal at $100 per person and $180 a couple.
Last year the event attracted over 200 community members, many of whom did not know the role Project Ezrah plays in the community and have since become active members of the Project Ezrah community. The evening is a great opportunity to spend a night out with friends, build relationships as well as support and learn about Project Ezrah.
“Building on last year’s success, we are excited for an even bigger and better event this year. This program allows younger members of the community access to participate in the work Project Ezrah does. There will be many opportunities presented during the evening for those who wish to directly participate in our mission long after the one event,” said Dani Secemski, chair of the YLC. “We hope that everyone joins us for another fun and informative evening.”
Bigger than the one event, the YLC is excited to announce its new partnership with Cross River Bank, which will be the official sponsor of the Project Ezrah YLC.
“Founded on the tenets of community and giving, Cross River is always looking for new ways to create infinite opportunities to shape a better tomorrow,” said Phil Goldfeder, SVP, global public affairs at Cross River. “Project Ezrah provides critical resources for communities right in our backyard, and Cross River is proud to be a partner in these life-changing initiatives.”
This partnership will include a full lineup of financial literacy classes given by experts at Cross River as well as the YLC’s popular lineup of fundraisers and events.
“We are excited about this partnership. Project Ezrah is grateful for the amazing community work that Cross River does and for working with Project Ezrah to help us create more access to financial literacy programs along with supporting the overall work that we do through the YLC to help our neighbors,” said Rachel Kirch, Project Ezrah executive director.
