R’ Yehuda Sarna Joins Ahavath Torah as Scholar-in-Residence

Englewood–Rabbi Yehuda Sarna, Executive Director of the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life at NYU, University Chaplain for NYU and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service will be scholar-in-residence this Shabbat, January 17th. Rabbi Sarna will speak about “The New College Experience: How Universities Are Redefining Themselves and What That Means for Jewish Students,” at the home of Deena and Gilad Ottensoser at 8 p.m. On Shabbat morning, R’ Sarna will speak in the Straus Main Sanctuary about, “Sharing America: The Future of Muslim-Jewish Relations.” During Seudat Shelishet, he will conclude his talks with a discussion on, “Why Conversion Controversies Matter and Why They Don’t.”
