Rabbi Eli Mansour to Speak at Keter Torah

Rabbi Eli Mansour, a leading Sephardic rabbi, will present a shiur on “How to Deal With Envy,” at Congregation Keter Torah on Motzei Shabbos, December 27, at 8 p.m. The shiur will be presented in honor of Ted [Avrohom ben Dov Ber] Mirkhani’s, z’l, first yahrzeit. Many of Rabbi Mansour’s shiurim are available on five websites and a phone service. He is a proponent of Daf Yomi programs and assists those who “do the daf” with a site called Daily Gemara. He has co-authored an ArtScroll-published sefer called Sephardic Haggadah Shel Pesach (The Sephardic Heritage Haggadah) with commentary. ArtScroll is preparing to publish a book on 1,000 practical halachot based on his lectures. The event is free of charge and open to the community.

A student of Magen David Yeshiva and Shaare Torah High School, Rabbi Mansour attended Yeshivat Mercaz HaTorah in Israel, Ateret Torah, and the Bet Midrash Gavoha in Lakewood. He later joined the Keter Zion Kollel to learn under the guidance of Rabbi Max Maslaton, from whom he received smicha. He is currently mara d’atra of Congregation Bet Yaakov in Brooklyn.
