(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky of Bris Avrohom was invited to deliver the invocation at the New Jersey State Senate session. He reflected on the anniversary of the pandemic and the upcoming holiday of Pesach, encouraging those present to take upon themselves one good deed to ensure we have done all we can to merit our deliverance by God from these seemingly endless and dark days of the pandemic.
Rabbi Kanelsky requested that the day be recognized as a day of education, commemorating the traditional observance of the birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The Senate President Stephen Sweeney and the Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin then presented Rabbi Kanelsky with a proclamation declaring 120 days of Education. Additionally, Rabbi Kanelsky distributed shmurah matzah to many senate aides.
