Rabbi Menachem Penner to Speak At Keter Torah: Making Tefillah Great

Rabbi Menachem Penner, the Max and Marion Grill Dean of the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University and the Men’s Undergraduate Torah Studies programs at YU, will be the scholar-in-residence this Shabbat, January 10-11, at Keter Torah, 600 Roemer Avenue, Teaneck.

4:35 p.m.: Mincha/Kabbalat Shabbat on “Hashem Sefatai Tiftach: Praying to Pray”

7:30 p.m.: Friday night oneg on “Forget Me Not: Putting God back into Tefillah,” featuring an open discussion about tefilla and a Q&A

Drasha at the 7:15 a.m. Hashkama minyan and 9:15 a.m. minyan with Rabbi Willig on “Modim: Learning to Say Thank You”

Rabbi Penner will serve as Ba’al Tefillah for Musaf in the 9:00 a.m. main sanctuary minyan

Shiur following Mincha at 4:15 p.m. on “The Opening Berachot: What the Avot Can Teach Us About Tefillah”

As part of this tefillah-themed Shabbat, Keter Torah will introduce new siddurim donated in memory of Bruce Weinrib, z”l.
