On Shabbat, July 29, following the 7:50 p.m. Mincha at Congregation Beth Aaron, Rabbi Sam Frankel will present a lecture, “Mindfulness and Judaism: How Our Mesorah Embraces Mindfulness.” Congregation Beth Aaron is located at 950 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck.
Rabbi Sam Frankel, LCSW, serves as a middle-school rabbi at Yavneh Academy in Paramus and also has a private practice specializing in individual/family therapy. Previously, he served in many capacities at Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services, including director of children/adolescent residential services, director of Camp Aishel, director of foster care and adoptions, director of the independent living program and assistant clinical director. He received a master’s degree in social work from the New York University School of Social Work and has done post-master’s degree work at the Hunter College School of Social Work. He also has certification in family therapy. He received his ordination from Kollel Agudath Achim.
