
This Shabbat, July 8, at 7 p.m. at Keter Torah, 600 Roemer Avenue, Teaneck, Rabbi Shalom Carmy will speak on “Reflections on Jewish Zealotry: From Pinchas to Today.” Following Mincha at 8:05 p.m., Rabbi Carmy will speak at seuda shlishit in conversation with Rabbi Avraham Wein.
Rabbi Carmy is a longtime professor of Jewish studies and philosophy at Yeshiva University, and an affiliated scholar at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is editor emeritus of “Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought,” contributing editor of “First Things,” and has published hundreds of articles on Jewish thought, Tanach, and other subjects.
