The Orthodox Forum of Edison/Highland Park will present Rabbi Shmuel Silber, of the Suburban Orthodox Congregation of Baltimore, on Saturday night, December 10, at 8:00 p.m. at Congregation Ohav Emeth. His talk is entitled, “You Shall Not Veer From What They Tell You, Right or Left: Understanding Rabbinic Power and Influence.”
Rabbi Shmuel Silber has been rabbi of the Suburban Orthodox Congregation in Baltimore since 2003. He is founder of the Institute for Jewish Continuity, an adult education program of Torah study, and an online learning center of ongoing courses and individual shiurim. The Institute for Jewish Continuity has become a well-recognized center for adult Jewish education in Baltimore. Rabbi Silber received semicha from Yeshiva University and a masters degree in Secondary Jewish Education from Azrieli Graduate School.
