Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School

The Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School is a Modern Orthodox, coeducational yeshiva in Livingston, New Jersey informed by Torah and driven by academic excellence. As an exceptional academic institution, where every student matters, RKYHS students explore opportunities, cultivate their curiosities, think critically and make a difference. At RKYHS, we combine these ideals to create an environment that fosters individual achievement and personal growth. Long after our students graduate, the RKYHS experience continues to inspire excellence.

Living a life of Torah is at the core of an RKYHS education. In addition to a wide array of Judaic course offerings, the RKYHS student experience is infused with Torah in informal learning opportunities, programs and experiences including the Vaad Learning Program—small communities of learning dedicated to Torah lishma, Hadracha Judaic studies advisory groups, religious guidance, after school mishmar and more.

RKYHS is proud to offer an array of specialty tracks that offer a concentration on subjects to appeal to students’ interests. Specialty tracks at RKYHS include the V’Shinantam Judaic Studies Track, a four year STEM progression of courses in engineering with access to university-level research equipment; Computer science, a four-year progression of courses co-chaired by Dr. W. Scott Stornetta, inventor/developer of BlockChain technology; SRTI (Scientific Research Training Institute) which provides students with opportunities for cutting edge research and advanced training; Business and Finance, which offers a strong foundation in economic and financial literacy and the building blocks of 21st century finance; and Betzalel Art Scholars Program, a four year progression of studio art courses.

RKYHS students are led by a talented administration and faculty who encourage
students to explore possibilities for their growth. Faculty demonstrate care and respect for all our students, and embolden them to set learning and personal goals for achieving the pursuit of their passions.

Consistent with our school mission, students learn to take initiative on behalf of social causes. They find their voices while engaging in the vast options for co-curricular opportunities and feel empowered when they experience the benefits of helping others. Our students make a difference.

The excellence offered at RKYHS extends beyond the building with the state-of-the-art outdoor recreation facilities, set on a sprawling six acres on the school’s 23 acre campus. Students are able to take advantage of the turf soccer field, basketball courts, tennis courts and full track. The breathtaking Gladys and Sam, z”l, Halpern Amphitheater, Gottlieb Family Pavilion and Pergola provide additional and expansive opportunities for outdoor programming.

We are confident that our nurturing environment, inspirational teachers, commitment to Torah principles and academic excellence will help our students reach their full potential.
