Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

On Monday, Ramaz ECC students and their teachers visited the office of Principle Emeritus Rabbi Haskel Lookstein ‘49. Students have been collecting money for a shared tzedaka project with Rabbi Lookstein. This custom, maot chitim, occurs before Pesach and is cherished because the tzedaka is specifically given to those who cannot afford matzah for the chag. The students were so excited to be partaking in such a mitzvah that they started to sing Pesach songs—all to the delight of Rabbi Lookstein, who joined in! After their visit, Rabbi Lookstein noted that the children made it obvious that they are fully prepared for the Pesach Seder.
