As part of their orientation, Ramaz freshmen participated in a Day of Service. The morning began with a schoolwide 9/11 assembly with a speaker who shared his experiences on that tragic day. In his message, the speaker highlighted the way ordinary people were called upon to do extraordinary things that day. Inspired, the freshmen headed out to Stonyhill Farms to pick apples, have fun in a corn maze and talk about the power of community coming together. They returned to school and baked 350 challot that were packaged, along with the apples and honey, for 170 Rosh Hashanah care packages for needy Jewish families.
