(Ramaz Sports) The Ramaz middle school girls hockey team won their school’s first ever championship after beating Yavneh 7-8 in overtime. It was a back-and-forth game the entire time but the Ramaz hockey team prevailed and took home the championship win. Ramaz had stellar defense to keep the game close by Livy Zwillinger, Natalie Safdieh and Kate Serphos. Ramaz’s offense was led by Ava Cohen, who had three goals, and by Tory Doft, who had two incredible assists and the game winning goal in overtime. Ramaz hockey ended the season on a nine game winning streak after dropping their season opener.
