The “De-Bait Din” (Model Beit Din) clubs of Ramaz and Frisch met at Yeshiva University to present their cases before Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Baruch Simon, as part of their annual competition. This year’s hypothetical case revolved around two rival kashrus agencies, exploring the halachic implications of establishing a new agency with a stricter standard of kashrut, potentially impacting the profits of the established company. The students were well prepared and presented compelling arguments. Rabbi Simon commended their well-researched and enthusiastic presentation.
