While our hearts are with Am Yisrael in Eretz Yisrael, on Monday Ramaz Upper School shifted focus to the individuals and families that battle every day with breast cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Students dressed in pink, sold pink goodies and raised funds for Sharsheret. The highlight of the day was a Tehillim assembly where Gail Prop, a founding member of Sharsheret and a longtime supporter of Ramaz, opened the program. The keynote speaker was Dr. Julie Stern Joseph who inspired the audience by sharing her own journey with cancer and the healing power of Tehillim. The program concluded with the recitation of the entire Tehillim.
