Ramaz Visits Kof-K to Learn About Kosher Ice Cream

For weeks, Ramaz third through fifth grade students have been putting their knowledge of brachot to the test through friendly competitions called the Bracha Bee. After a series of in-school games, the competition narrowed down to four incredible finalists, who advanced to the inter-school Bracha Bowl. Kol hakavod to Jonathan L. (3), Jacob N. (5), Miro S. (4) and Arielle W. (5) for their hard work. They traveled to Yeshivat Noam and competed against 12 other schools in a thrilling quiz tournament. They had to answer questions with accuracy and speed, hitting the buzzer before their competitors and answering confidently into the microphone. They truly wowed the crowd, ultimately earning an incredible third place.

After the competition, the Ramaz and SAR teams took a special trip to the Kof-K offices to learn all about kashrut at ice cream stores. They even met with Rabbi Senter, the head of the Kof-K! The students then visited a Carvel ice cream store to see where the Kof-K gives hashgacha, and enjoyed yummy ice cream for themselves. After all their hard work at the Bracha Bowl, this activity was the perfect cherry on top.
