Rabbi Kenny Schiowitz visited some of the Ramaz Upper School alumni at the Columbia/Barnard Hillel to learn together, offer chizuk and catch up. The learning centered on the centrality of Israel in Halacha, and the peculiar minhag of the two-day Yom Tov. Students also shared their experiences of living as proud Jews and Zionists on campus, which is profoundly challenging at this time. Their passion, commitment and courage are an inspiration to Rabbi Schiowitz.
