(Ma’ayanot sports) Ma’ayanot played their quarter final game at Flatbush on Monday night. The nailbiter game went back and forth all game for four quarters. With 27 seconds left, the Rapids were down by one. A foul from Flatbush gave the Rapids an opportunity. With continued rowdy screaming from the Flatbush fans, senior captain Shifra Prager went to the line composed as usual and scored two clutch foul shots to give the Rapids a 29/28 lead. With 10 seconds left Sigal Ostrin was fouled and hit one of her shots giving the Rapids a two-point lead, 30/28. The Falcons never gave up getting the ball back and setting up for an open 3-point shot to win the game only to be blocked by fierce senior defender Sigal Ostrin with four seconds left. The Rapids regained possession under their basket in a scuffle and were fouled again. With one second left, senior captain Ayelet Ostrin went to the line sinking her second foul shot, giving the Rapids the win 31/28.
