Rav Shai Finkelstein, an Israeli shul rabbi and editor-in-chief of Koren Publishers’ Mikraot HaDorot, will be scholar-in-residence at Congregation Rinat Yisrael this week.
He will give a parsha shiur on Thursday night, June 27 after mincha in the Beit Midrash, entitled “The Story of the Spies—What Went Wrong?.” Maariv will follow.
On Friday night, June 28 at the 7 p.m. minyan in the main shul, he will give a dvar halacha.
On Shabbat morning, June 29 he will deliver a drasha, “The Failure to Understand the Responsibility of Power and Independence,” to all minyanim.
At 6:55 p.m., prior to mincha and in the main shul, Rav Finkelstein will speak on “Risking your Life for Others—From the Tanach to the 21st Century.”
After mincha in the main shul, he will conclude with “תדיר ומקודש מי קודם? Frequent Offering vs. Offering of a Greater Sanctity—A Question of Halacha and Hashkafa.”
