Award-Winning Bergen County Real Estate Agent Linda Stamker Joins Compass

When you’ve decided it’s time to get a new home, ideally you want to find a real estate agent who’s lived in the community for years and knows the area quite well; someone who is recognized by their peers for their skills and successes and praised by numerous clients; someone who takes pride in and is recognized for their exceptional responsiveness.

In short, if you are looking to buy or sell a property in Bergen County, you want to talk with Linda Stamker. And now that she’s become affiliated with Compass, a nationally respected real estate firm recognized for offering the industry’s top talents and most cutting-edge technology resources, she brings a formidable suite of skills and services to every real estate transaction.

“When Compass approached me, it was clear that my clients and I would benefit enormously from their platform,” said Stamker. “For my sellers, I now have marketing tools to maximize the exposure of their homes through sophisticated algorithms that find buyers looking for their type of property. Compass also has 19,000 agents nationally with whom I can network. For buyers, there is an interactive app where they can view properties I send them, select favorites and even request showings. The real estate industry is changing rapidly, and Compass is giving me the tools and resources to stay ahead of the curve.”

Stamker, a seasoned real estate agent who’s been serving clients for 14 years, grew up in Tenafly, lived in Fort Lee for many years, and moved with her family to Bergenfield four years ago. She, her husband (a mortgage banker) and son (a seventh grade student at Yavneh Academy in Paramus) attend Congregation Beth Abraham and are associate members of Bais Medrash of Bergenfield. She is active in the local community, volunteers regularly, and served on the Yavneh Academy PTA for six years.

After getting her MBA at New York University’s Stern School of Business, she started her career working for Reckitt & Colman marketing consumer products. She worked for many Fortune 500 companies, marketing big brands such as Airwick Air Fresheners and Avery office products, but it included a lot of travel. When she started a family, she decided to transition to a career path that offered more rootedness and flexibility. She obtained her real estate agent’s license at the end of 2007 and quickly established her credentials as a uniquely productive agent.

Stamker has received the NJ Realtors® Circle of Excellence Award® for each of the 13 full years she has been in the field. She also received the Lifetime NJ Realtors® Distinguished Sales Award® in 2017. She’s been recognized by Bergen Magazine as a Top Producer and has also earned a five-star rating on Zillow, the trusted real estate website, with dozens of former clients attesting that they are “highly likely to recommend” Stamker to others and giving her the highest marks for local knowledge, process experience, responsiveness and negotiation skills. The testimonials she has received are similarly effusive.

“It’s easy to say your realtor is a professional, it’s another thing to know that your agent is honest, clear-headed, smart, singularly dedicated to her clients and simply won’t quit,” said Josh Weisberg of Teaneck. “Linda worked with us for almost a year until we found the right house to buy. Once we did, she helped us expertly navigate the sale of our current house and our new purchase. Without her truly unique talent and tenacity, it simply would not have gotten done. We got over asking on our sale and a great deal on our buy. Use her, you will not regret!”

“Linda is amazing—extremely hardworking and always available at all hours,” said Jane An of Fort Lee. “She’s extremely responsive on email and text message. She is always willing to go the extra mile and always have our best interest at heart. She’s always willing to give you an honest opinion and willing to go the extra mile to look for various options to make things work. In addition to being a great agent, she has a great team of people that she works with. The closing of our home was challenging, but Linda was always there every step of the way and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Luckily for us, we had her by our side and we purchased our dream home.”

Stamker’s approach to real estate is driven by her belief that “Home Encompasses Your Life,” a philosophy that’s been underscored by her experiences over the past 13 months. As she elaborated, the pandemic prompted many people to use their homes as their primary platform for work, socializing, recreation and prayer, in addition to family living. Stamker recognized that homes play a critical role in so many aspects of people’s lives, now more than ever, and their needs for their homes change as they go through different stages of life.

Stamker takes particular pride in her expertise in specific areas, such as house sales in the “TriTown” area of Teaneck, Bergenfield and New Milford and condo/co-op sales in Fort Lee. But she also has a diverse client base and experience in neighboring towns throughout northern Bergen County. Last year alone, she sold homes in 10 different towns.

Asked to share one experience that exemplifies how she works very personally with her clients, she spoke of one couple whose home she sold in Old Tappan in the midst of an acrimonious divorce. They’d been through three real estate agents unsuccessfully. Stamker started working with the couple, giving each of them the personalized attention and sensitivity they needed, while guiding the sale to closing. She ended up earning praise from both of them, who each felt she respected their individual perspective and needs. She sees this situation as illustrative of her view that ideally, real estate sales is not merely about selling or buying home, “it’s about helping people through life’s transitions.”
