Rep. Pascrell Visits Jewish Family Service and Children’s Center of Clifton-Passaic

Last week, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) met with Rabbi Michael Bleicher to tour the Jewish Family Service & Children’s Center of Clifton-Passaic (JFS) and discuss the importance of continued funding for the new facility, which is scheduled to open in May.

“I want to thank Rabbi Bleicher and everyone from JFS who welcomed me,” said Rep. Pascrell. “This building will allow JFS to strengthen the crucial services it has provided to our community for over 50 years. I am grateful for the organization’s work and extremely proud that this new facility will be located within my district.”

Rep. Pascrell has helped JFS secure federal funding in the past, including $200,000 for their Naturally Occurring Retirement Community “Aging in Place” initiative in 2005 and $297,000 for Project S.A.R.A.H. (Stop Abusive Relationships at Home) in 2012. Most recently, he wrote to the Office on Violence Against Women at DOJ in support of JFS’s grant application to continue funding for Project S.A.R.A.H.
