In reading “In Support of Josh Gottheimer” (September 17, 2020) signed by several writers, we were struck by the omissions and marked bias. At a time that the anti-Israel Left has taken over the Democratic Party, of what importance is it to state that Gottheimer is the “most pro-Israel Democrat in the lower chamber”? He supports the rest of his party in all other issues. What we need is a representative and party that is thoroughly pro-Israel.

While the Democratic Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi can say that the peace agreement brokered by President Trump is a “distraction” and not valid unless there is a two-state solution, Republican Frank Pallotta, running for Congress to represent New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District, stated: “Thank you to President Trump for helping to broker this historic deal. This is a great day for the security of Israel and overall peace in the Middle East.”

Furthermore, there are many other reasons why Gottheimer should not be reelected. He voted to make Washington, D.C. a state (obviously to increase the number of Democrats, including radical anti-Israel ones). He voted twice to impeach President Trump, once for the nonsense Russian collusion and again for speaking to the president of Ukraine regarding the clearly corrupt son of Joe Biden.

Gottheimer voted against the ability of President Trump to take immediate military action against Iran without Congressional approval. Iran is unpredictable and may require a rapid response.

He voted against Trump’s border wall, which prevents illegal aliens, criminals, drug dealers and their ilk from entering the country. He voted to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress because the corrupt Democrat party wanted to smear him on nonsense.

Gottheimer’s silence on the violent riots since May has been deafening. Why doesn’t he stand for law and order? When that breaks down, Jews are often the first targets.

Please vote for Republican Pallotta and remove Gottheimer from Congress.
