Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Many of us saw the Super Bowl commercial promoting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for president. This was intended as a wake-up call, announcing that his candidacy is a serious thing. I also would like Jewish Link readers to wake up to what RFK has been saying about Israel and Gaza. He has steadfastly supported Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas. For example, here are excerpts of what he said in a December interview:

“Gaza should be an economic Eden with all the money that’s being poured in. But what have they done with the money, Hamas? They have deprived and starved their own people. They’ve made all of their leaders billionaires who live in Doha, Turkey and Qatar, in huge palaces. Hamas’s charter says it is against Islam to negotiate with Jews unless you’re fooling them. So telling Israel, you have got to negotiate — what are they going to negotiate over? My heart breaks for the Palestinian people … their lives are horrible. But I don’t blame the Israelis. I blame Hamas.”

You may be accustomed to hearing RFK vilified as an “anti-vaxxer” by the mainstream media. But this comes from a PR campaign by the pharmaceutical industry, which spends billions on advertising in those same media and accordingly gains undue influence over them. Kennedy has rightly exposed how the industry hides side effects of their products and exaggerates their effectiveness. That makes him enemy number one for them, and everything you hear about him from major news sources reflects that bias.

Likewise those same media widely slandered RFK last year for supposed antisemitic comments, but those were taken out of context and twisted into something opposite of what he intended.

For another viewpoint about Robert F. Kennedy Jr., I invite your readers to review the website I founded, jews4rfk.com, where you will find information from a variety of commentators evaluating his political positions, his record as an environmental champion and the truth behind the anti-vaxx and antisemitism calumny.
