Cong. Rinat Yisrael Adult Education will present Rabbanit Gilla Rosen, dean of Yakar on  Shabbat, October 6, at 4:40 p.m. Her talk is titled, “‘Let Us Make Adam’: Midrashic Struggles With Difficult Verses.”

Rabbanit Gilla Rosen is the dean of Yakar, a community center for integrated Jewish identity, learning and spiritual growth in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Rabbanit Rosen lectures widely in Israel and England, and has taught at many institutions including Yakar, Nishmat, Pardes the Hebrew University, Matan and Bruria (Lindenbaum). She also serves as a Yoetzet Halacha and was one of the founders of Forum Takana. Rabbanit Rosen’s main focus is the relationship of Talmud and Midrash  to psychological dimensions and contemporary issues.
