Rinat Yisrael to Host Musical Evening of Cantorial Classics

It will be an evening of musical excellence at Congregation Rinat Yisrael in Teaneck, as two of today’s cantorial greats team up to sing compositions from the golden era of chazzanut.

Cantors Yanky Lemmer and Yaakov Motzen will be accompanied by Cantor Daniel Gildar, as they give voice to the cantorial classics of Yossele Rosenblatt, Moshe Koussevitzky, Pierre Pinchik, Leibele Waldman, Mordechai Hershman and Zavel Kwartin, bringing the breathtaking beauty of chazzanut to an entirely new generation of listeners.

The concert, to be held at 8 p.m. on Motzei Shabbat, November 14, will be a night to remember for residents of Teaneck, Monsey, Manhattan and other neighboring communities, according to Rabbi Yosef Adler, Rabbi of Rinat.

“I hope that people will have an opportunity to appreciate some of the great artists of the past,” said Rabbi Adler. “Chazzanut today has had a revival in the Chasidic world and I hope to be able to give the Modern Orthodox community an opportunity to enjoy real chazzanut.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the concert, with general admission tickets priced at $36.
