Shushan Purim was enthusiastically celebrated at RKYHS! The day began with Purim Torah round robins with Judaic Studies faculty members (and receiving a different candy at every round!). Students enjoyed a special Sephardic chagiga complete with Persian food and music. It was Purimpalooza with inflatable fun in the Zuckerman Gymnasium with carnival favorites popcorn and cotton candy. A school-wide Kahoot and costume contest added to the fun at RKYHS.
An all-day Zoltan Lefkovits z”l Ping Pong Contest was held for RKYHS students, culminating in the championship round at the close of the day. Students heard from school parent Jeff Lefkovits before the Ping Pong championships about his father, Zoltan’s, incredible story of survival in Europe, which was aided by his Ping Pong prowess, adding special meaning to the day’s competition.
