Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

RKYHS students participated in a Purim yom iyun where they rotated through different Purim-themed sessions led by different faculty members. The sessions discussed how they can take Purim into the rest of the year. They looked at the concept of v’nahafochu and how things went from bad to good in the Megilla and how they can overcome when they have struggles in life. They focused on self esteem as seen through the prism of the Megilla and how everything happens for a reason. The Purim festivities for the school-wide celebration included grade costume contests, Minute to Win It, blacklight roller skating, Dance Dance Revolution, an eSports arcade and a “Cobra Chill” session complete with foosball, nok hockey, air hockey, spikeball and more. The programming allowed students an opportunity to spend casual and enjoyable with classmates.
