Shushan Purim was enthusiastically celebrated throughout RKYHS. RKYHS students returned to the holiday’s Persian roots with a special Sephardic chagiga, complete with Persian food and music. A special game show and a Purim-palooza with a caricaturist, inflatables and carnival food added to the fun. The celebration at RKYHS continued with hamantashen making, a silent DJ, costume contest and talent show.

An all-day Zoltan Lefkovits, z”l, Ping Pong contest was held for RKYHS students, culminating in the championship round at the close of the day. Students heard from school parent Jeff Lefkovits before the Ping Pong championships about his father’s incredible story of survival in Europe, which was aided by his Ping Pong prowess, adding special meaning to the day’s competition.
