The 2019-20 school year is off to a great start at the Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School. The energy was palpable as the students and faculty reconnected with one another after the summer break. For the opening of school, students participated in a spirited school-wide opening assembly where they watched a welcome-back video and slideshow of highlights of the past year. They also heard words of inspiration for a successful year from Head of School Rabbi Eliezer Rubin, and from the first SEED speaker of the year, three time author and coach Cornell Thomas, who spoke about being resilient and setting your mind to achieve your goals. Students enjoyed a school-wide trivia game and “first day fries” at lunch. RKYHS students are already acquainted with their new schedules and teachers as they begin another inspiring year.
