RKYHS Class of 2021 Enjoys Fun-Filled Senior Trip

The RKYHS seniors enjoyed a memorable few days together for their senior trip as they cherished the time to spend with their classmates. It was a jam-packed three days with a variety of activities and experiences. They began the trip exploring sites in New York City and Brooklyn. Day one was spent at “Beat the Bomb” where the seniors had to escape the room while dodging the elements and paint! They also explored the sites in DUMBO and went bouldering at The Cliffs at DUMBO where they rock climbed in the picturesque site under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn Bridge Park. After those outings, the fun didn’t stop and into midtown they headed to Dave and Busters arcade for non-stop fun, followed by dinner out at Mr. Broadway. After a full day, the RKYHS seniors headed to Camp Moshava for the rest of their trip.

Day two for seniors kicked off with rafting down the Delaware River. On a beautiful sunny day the water was filled with rafts of the RKYHS students making their way down. They returned to Moshava to enjoy the facilities and dinner. A highlight of the trip was a nighttime kumzitz around the firepit. For one last time, the RKYHS Class of 2021 was able to gather together to sing and be inspired by words from Head of School Rabbi Eliezer Rubin. It was a memorable night that will stay with the seniors for a lifetime as they savored these last moments with their grade.

The last day of the trip began with enjoying the grounds and facilities at Camp Moshava with a game of nerf wars filled with friendly competition, glagalon, pizza making, and sports. After lunch it was off to the indoor amusement park Liberty Heights. The students bounced away at the trampoline park while also enjoying the various games available. The trip was a fun-filled few days of activities, but what will be most memorable for the RKYHS Class of 2021 was these few days they were able to spend together, just days before their graduation that was the perfect conclusion of their years together. Particularly after the last year plus of living through a pandemic at the close of their time in high school, being able to share this time together with their classmates and faculty was irreplaceable.
