RKYHS young alumni who are currently in college came together at the school for a reunion while they were home on their winter breaks. The many attendees were excited to reminisce with fellow classmates, see current students, catch up with former teachers and hear words from Head of School Rabbi Eliezer Rubin and other faculty.

A highlight of the morning was a panel featuring alumni who graduated RKYHS in the last 10 years. The panel included Eric Israeli (JKHA ‘02/RKYHS ‘06), David Klatt (JKHA ‘02/RKYHS ‘06), Eric Silverberg (JKHA ‘06/RKYHS ‘10), Daniel Spielman (JKHA ‘05/RKYHS ‘09) and Jessica (Blank) Zeffren (JKHA ‘03/RKYHS ‘07). These alumni represented a variety of backgrounds, fields and industries, including business, marketing, social media, medical school and law school. The panel provided valuable insight into life in the “real world” and in particular offered insightful tips and advice about merging and balancing professional life with Jewish observance and beliefs, and the importance of staying true to oneself.

After the panel discussion, the college group broke up into smaller areas to be able to talk to the older alumni on a more individual basis related to their interests, where they obtained tips and pointers on particular careers, setting yourself up for jobs after college, input on what they can do to maximize the college years and pursuing advanced degrees like medicine and law.
