RKYHS enjoyed an exciting Kushner Cup competition during Chanukah. The Color War type competition involved two teams—Blue team “Ba’Yamim HaHem” and Orange team “Be’Zman Ha’Zeh and brought ruach to the building as students showed teamwork and camaraderie throughout the exciting two days of Kushner Cup.

Throughout the competition, the two teams competed in sports games, a variety of challenges including a dodgeball competition, Name that Tune, three-point shootout, Jeopardy, charades, trivia and a chagiga that was judged by the Schnitzel Guys. Both teams enjoyed competing in an epic game show program led by the Schnitzel Guys entertainers. A highlight of the Kushner Cup was the Amazing RAE-ce apache relay that had students all over the building competing, and a high school-wide basketball game and pep rally! The competition concluded on day two with a school-wide tish and more ways for teams to earn points. The concluding program had students showing their many talents as they presented team music videos, TikTok videos, memes, artwork, dances and more.
