The RKYHS Environment Club headed to the Sandy Hook National Recreation Area, part of the National Parks Service, for a pre-Tu B’Shevat trip before Parshat Beshalach. Guided by the park ranger for problem areas, the group cleaned up garbage and debris throughout the beach and shoreline. Co-President Sarena Hindin who chairs the group along with Aya East, delivered a dvar Torah about the environment on the trip. The club meets weekly to discuss ways to help the environment.
