The RKYHS girls swim team capped off an undefeated season with a tremendous overall win at its last meet this year, earning a total of 53 points. Junior Ameerah Ali swam in five individual events out of 12. She placed first in four of the five: 25 back, 50 back, 50 fly and 100 back. She placed second in the 25 free event. Freshman Maya Minsky also swam in five individual events. She placed first in 25 fly, second in IM and third in 25 breast. Freshman Cecelia Ashenberg placed first in IM, second in 25 breast and third in 50 breast. Eighth grader Hannah Mamet placed second in 25 fly and 50 back, and third in 25 free. With the support of their coach, Carlee Phillips, the girls were able to put their best foot forward and emerge victorious. Given this relatively young team, these girls should be a team to watch next season.
