RKYHS was honored and privileged to welcome renowned Israeli media personality and modern day Torah commentator Sivan Rahav Meir on her pre-Rosh Hashanah visit to the U.S. Rahav Meir shared an inspirational message for students as they headed into the last Shabbat before the new year. She inspired students to find ways to make that last Shabbat more special and to finish the year strong.

Rahav Meir then shared her background and how she received her start in reporting, beginning from a young age and described how she found her passion. She encouraged students to do the same in their lives, to find their strengths and pursue their passions. Particularly now in this time before Rosh Hashanah, she told students that they can help the world be a better place and they can be the best version of themselves.

Her message continued, emphasizing how the students belong to a bigger world and community, encouraged them to see the bigger picture, and stressed the importance of people being seen and being heard. Rahav Meir left students with a lasting message for them to know their values and principles and to stick to them throughout their lives.
