RKYHS held a special yom iyun learning program over Chanukah to consider how to relate to overt miracles. Students first watched a video that told three stories of supernatural miracles that had all taken place within the last 100 years. They then learned different Jewish sources that presented different approaches to how we should approach such events. Finally, students attended a panel made up of RKYHS teachers from varied backgrounds to hear their perspectives on experiencing miracles. While many different positions were shared, all agreed that one’s perspective plays a large part in how miracles are experienced, and the program concluded with a bracha that everyone should consistently feel Hashem’s presence in their lives.
