The RKYHS juniors traveled to Camp Moshava for an overnight Israel Studies Seminar. Jam-packed with learning, programs, sports and fun, the program allowed juniors to enjoy each other’s company while taking a deep dive into Israeli history and culture. Sessions focused on the kedusha of the Holy Land, the exploits of the Mossad, the experience of Ethiopian Jews and a fun matching game that reviewed significant events in Israeli history. Students scaled the ropes course, made their own pizza, did archery, tie-dyed shirts and played sports. The grade bonded over an outdoor movie, as well as a late-night bonfire and kumzitz. The program culminated in a spirited grade-wide “Capture the Flag’’ game. The juniors had an amazing time coming together to deepen their knowledge of Israel.
