Eight RKYHS students, along with chaperones Rabbi Richard Kirsch and Pesha Rubin, spent last week in Bay St. Louis, Misssissppi for the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. After ten years the area is still devastated from the effects of the hurricane. RKYHS students got involved in the rebuilding process in Bay St. Louis and had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans to assist there as well. The group stayed at a local Chabad house which has only been open for six months; it is already thriving.
