As college admissions season gets underway, RKYHS 12th graders are working closely with the RKYHS college guidance office during the process. In addition to the planning that begins in their previous high school grades, once they become seniors, the college guidance office plays a key role in their application process. Seniors recently participated in an interview workshop where Sabryna Coppola from Brandeis University presented to students all about college interviews. Topics discussed included how to be prepared, how to dress and what to expect when on a college interview. To see the tips put into action, students conducted mock interviews. The college guidance office has also been holding lunchtime application workshops where students bring their lunch and laptops and have the opportunity to work on their applications. A senior application boot camp was held as well, where students spent the morning working on their applications with additional guidance to help alleviate the intensity of the fall college application season.
