RKYHS Shows Leadership At Clubs Fair

The RKYHS gym was buzzing with excitement last week over the many opportunities to get involved. Every Tuesday students have chug or club periods. This period is a time for students to meet with the clubs they are already involved in, as well as try out other clubs. Students attended a chug fair where they were able to see the assortment of activities offered, both on Tuesday chug time and throughout the week. Many of the clubs are student-initiated and student-led, giving a sense of ownership, as well as leadership opportunities, at all grade levels.

There is something for everyone when it comes to extracurriculars at RKYHS. It is very common that when students have an idea for a club that doesn’t already exist, they come to their faculty and administration and are given the support and encouragement they need to start a club, enabling them to pursue their interests. Over 70 clubs were represented at the fair, ranging from Robotics, Torah Bowl, Archery, Mock trial and Yachad to ASL, Choir, Homelessness Awareness, Bowling, Investment Club and so much more.
