The Sports Management Club had a very unique and enriching opportunity that helped offer a well-rounded look at different aspects of the sports business field. Twenty five students from the sports management club were invited by the Philadelphia 76ers for a special experience. The afternoon began with access to play basketball on the Sixers court! Following that they received a tour of the Wells Fargo Center and were able to see what goes on behind the scenes.

Later, upper management hosted the students in their conference room for a “Professionals in Sports” seminar featuring Chelsea Fenstermacher, director of ticket sales. She shared her varied background and spoke about how she landed in the sports industry as well as offering crucial career tips in how to be successful in this field. She offered practical tips about what students can do now to pave the way for a successful journey in sports management. The trip added so much to the students’ knowledge and understanding of this exciting field.
